This morning I’m leaving Cottesloe Beach at the beginning of a 4,500km #eBike4Australia trip across our country. I’m cycling to promote the benefits and importance of renewable energy. Kate Chaney MP is waving me off. And while on the road, I am fundraising to help regional and remote communities with cost-of-living relief through renewable energy systems. People in the Bush can pay up to 10 times more for electricity than those of us in the cities, especially if they have to rely on expensive and dirty diesel generation.
Subscribe to my blog to follow my journey and please donate to my Go Fund Me campaign. Every dollar counts for a safe planet and more affordable energy in the Bush.
And no, my dog Fred isn’t coming with me. But we will both miss each other. Thanks to my friend and excellent photographer Fiona Bowring for taking this photo of the two of us.
Awesome idea. I heard the extinction rebellion grandparents in WA contacted you. They will be following you next week as part of their Cavalcade to Canberra to raise awareness of Climate Change. Also to draw attention to WA politics being a state captured by big business. Lets all support these amazing people. Well done Gregory :)
I live 100 m from national route 1. If you pass by feel free to call in (colin.butler*anu.edu.au).
